Rabindra: | Rabindra during a meeting in Bangkok |
A fleeting figure on VT, stuck in Humla, Nepal, as a researcher. Accessing VT for him involves either an 11-day walk or a full one day walk and then an hour's flight (next day), if he can catch a flight at all. Once he waited for a week to get out, and was eventually airlifted by a cargo helicopter. Nepalese, but studies at AIT, Bangkok. I see him once or twice a year, either in Thailand or in Nepal, mainly job related. Actually, he is a city man, hailing at Pashupati/Chabahil, Kathmandu.

Gopal: I have met Gopal a couple of times in Kathmandu and we had a relaxing time together reflecting over VT. Met in Thamel once, another time we went to Boudhanath stupa. He works on earthquake preparedness, a big task in vulnerable Nepal. A very, very nice fellow. |
Littlevoice, Thailand: Littlevoice and a friend came to visit Oslo as part of a family tour, and I had the pleasure to show them a bit of central Oslo. Grey, cold day - Oslo did not show her best side. Come back in summer! Very knowledgeable traveller. She has been to places you wouldn't even dream of going.

| | Sejia and Mark, Florida, US: A very nice couple who were real travellers and pursued their interests and seemed to appreciate the land as it was. A short, but very indepth visit to Norway, I had the chance of meeting them before they set out from Oslo, but missed them on their return. Apparently coming back in the spring!? I'll keep the big fish for you only, the beer cold and the yarn shop open! |
