We were having a meal in the garden early one evening at the end of April and looked up to see a balloon hovering above us. Perhaps the passengers did not like the look of what we were eating but it "fired up" and sailed away just missing the trees. |
|  | In the summer months this is not too unusual a sight - balloons choose the Usk Valley for its lovely scenery and our house is close to fields suitable for landings. They usually come down in the field near the river and our favoutite walk but the Local Paper reported that on this occasion the balloon did land in a back garden ! |
