These two windowless buildings house Kievit's first and second processing plants. The first one started production in 2005, the second one in February 2008. With its 9 storey height it is a new landmark in Salatiga's skyline. |

| | Unique view We had this view from the upper storey of the unfinished building. The view is unique, because after installation of the machinery the walls were closed. The building has no windows and a pressurized inside atmosphere. |

| | Grand inauguration The new plant was inaugurated on February 21st, 2008, with a grand ceremony. Here are Salatiga's mayor and the Dutch director of Friesland Foods performing the inauguration ritual: putting a bag of Kievit's product on a pallet. |

| | High tech processing industry The new unit uses the most advanced technology of its kind in Asia. |
| | A kievit is a bird Kievit is the surname of the founder of Kievit industry. But in Dutch kievit is the name of a bird nesting in the meadows of Friesland province. So here is the mascot of the enterprise. |
