The Magnificent Processions As with all villages, towns and cities in Spain, when Easter comes around everyone participates in the fiestas.
We have frontline view as these huge platforms are carried past by up to 200 men (in Malaga) about 100 in the smaller towns, all bearing elaborate statues of Christ and the Virgin Mary. |
|  | Pomp and Ceremony All ages join in and are appropiately dressed for the occasion....altho sometimes they appear a little scary |
| | The Whole Week From Palm Sunday to the following Sunday, brass bands walk the streets playing their solemn marches |
| | An Honour Its a special honour to be chosen to carry the platforms |
| | In respect People decorate their houses and usually have a deep red or purple "skirt" around their balcony. These people chose differently |
