I had been renting a cottage on Saunders island for 3 nights in July 2001. This was the sight that greeted me early one morning, I was so excited that I ran out into the snow in my bare feet to capture the sunrise.

Mollymauk

A juvenile Black-browed albatross, known locally as mollymauks, this was photographed on my second visit to Saunders Island in April 2004.

King Penguin

Saunders Island has a small population of King Penguins.
