"My interests" Personal Page by oriettaIT

I like of course travel and when I am in a foreign place I love feel the local culture and taste the local food.
Other interest I have is reading, photograph, archeology, cooking, cross stitching and flowers and gardening. I have a small place on my terrace when I rise some plants and flowers.

I have always had a great interest in taking pictures. For years I used my father old Yashica reflex with high satisfaction, but the poor thing finally gave up and I switched to a point and shoot digital camera. I enjoyed the fact I wasnt dealing with film anymore but I felt really limited by the few manual adjustment but I had to wait... budget was a issue.
In the meanwhile a took a photo class and learn more about photography, I was always a total self taught person before, and I start to really crave for the real thing again! 2010 finally was my year! I got my Canon digital reflex and I am happily using it as much as I can to document my life and my travel.

My fovourite reading is guess what? about travel and foreign culture.
I like also spy story, police investigation story, thriller, history and biography, Egypt story. Look at my Readings page to know more about my books.

As lately I am having more spare time then usual i let a old passion out of the drawer where it was laying. I am taking a class of astronomy at the Padova astronomers association. I am looking forward my first trelescope observation!!

wide stitching project

Here i am trying to put two different stuff i love together, cactus plants and stitching. I started this huge project some years ago and it will take me like forever to finish it as i have really few time to stitch, but i am not giving up!! a day this will be shown in my house ;-)

It comes from one of the most beautiful movie I have saw lately "Into the wild"
the movie, from a Jon Krakauer novel, tell the true story of Christopher McCandless, a well-heeled american guy who decide to renounces to all his material safeties to immerse itself to the inside of the wild nature, trying to find himself.
