While the centre of Karlsruhe was heavily hit by World War II bombs, large quarters further out remained unharmed and have preserved pretty late 19th and early 20th century architecture. Strolling the streets of Weststadt, Südweststadt or Oststadt you can discover quite a lot of buildings in Jugendstil / Art Nouveau style. Local but famous Architects like Hermann Billing or Curiel & Moser created amazing things... |
