The preservation of the wall-paintings is excellent, and they are beautiful. I just wish i was a better photographer.
The most colourful mosaics may have gone to museums and private collections, but the black and white ones remain. I find them just as fascinating, and just as attractive.
Herculaneum is worth visiting for this aspect alone, I think. |
