Both companies offer one hour and two hour cruises for about the same price. The dinner cruise is a bit different, SD Harbor Excursion dinner cruise is a little more for adults, but it includes alcoholic beverages and the price for children is less. Price compare before buying a ticket.

The picture is of the SD Harbor Excursion's Spirit of San Diego, a 150-foot three-deck yacht.

San Diego's Skyline at Broadway Pier

This is partial view of San Diego's skyline. Along the coast of the Harbor and in the Gaslamp Quarter the buildings are low, but surrounding these areas, the buildings have risen higher and higher and the modern city's skyline was created.

Reuben E. Lee

One of the many restaurants on Harbor Island, located at: 880 Harbor Island
Phone: 619-291-1880

This old Mississippi paddle boat has been a landmark in the San Diego Bay since I was a kid. In those days our family would make reservations and eat here on special occasions.

However, it is no longer open as a restaurant. The ocean waters have done too much damage to make it safe these days.

DANGER!!!

If you can read this sign, it's too late! While sailing around the beautiful Bay of San Diego, several of these signs can be seen. If you can actually read them, it's too late, you've probably already crashed into the rocks they warn sailors about!

United States Coast Guard

Those of you who decide to rent a boat and cruise on your own, take with you, this number for the Search and Rescue Team of the US Coast Guard 619-295-3121--just in case you get lost, or ground your boat on the rocks!

Also, be careful not to drink and drive the boat. the Coast Guard is the policing agent on the Bay and they can either site you or tow you in.

Sea Lions on a Winter's day!

Your tips show a great diversity of things to do and see in San Diego. I didn’t know about the San Diego comic opera group, Lyric Opera, in North Park. Also I found it very interesting that there are plans to "make North Park a walkable community again".

Linda, this is indeed a 5-star effort! We almost made it to SD this winter for a conference but, alas, couldn't make it work. I'll be back to make a planner of your excellent pages/tips when we finally get that trip together!

Hey Linda! looking at your TOP GUN page--neat! I was living in Oceanside at the time, and my husband was a pilot in the USMC, and all my clients (as a Financial Planner) were Navy pilots; some of whom were in the movie!

Hi!! A few friends and myself are leaving Ireland to live in your fine city for 2 months this summer. Was wondering if you could fill me in on the best area to live and work. We will be taking weekend trips away, any suggestions? Thanks and love the page!
