Wedding of Martin & Theresa (8 December 2007) | Lighting the Unity Candle |
After a year of preparation, Martin and I were officially married on 8 December 2007. The wedding celebration was held at The Sentosa Resort & Spa. It was just a cosy event, celebration this joyous occasion with close friends and relatives.
We are also grateful to our guests who took time off their busy schedule to join us at this celebration. This was even so that December, being a festive season, was also a time for many to go overseas.
It was heartening to hear that a number of guests actually adjusted their travelling schedule just to be with us. In fact, two of them actually got a mid-night flight to catch that evening!
We had a great time though time really passed too fast. Well, a wedding is just the beginning a new journey ahead! |

|  | Tea Ceremony - A Mark of Respect For us, we just wanted to have a simple and meaningful event. We wanted to keep it hassle free and hence, decided to have the programme at the resort. The event kicked off with tea ceremony at about 3.45pm. The tea ceremony is an important element in the Chinese Traditional Wedding. This is the time when the couple would offer tea to the elders. It was also the chance for me to don the Chinese Traditional Costume - Kwa! |

| | Preparing for the Holy Matrimony Of course, this is also a great day for me - it's a day when everybody fussed over me. As a good friend told me once, the wedding is the only day for the girl to be a truly princess!c* |

| | The Holy Matrimony By about 5.45pm, we started the Holy Matrimony. The Holy Matrimony is an occasion when the church pastor blessed the couple and solemnized the wedding. We were honoured to have Pastor Henry Yeo from New Creation Church to join us the evening. And of course, it seemed that our Flower Girl and Page Boy had a great time leading the procession! |

| | Best of Pals! Fellow VTers bpacker and jenaikes were also there to celebrate this occasion with us. bpacker and jenaikes are my best of pals on VT and I was really happy to see them at our wedding. |
| An Evening of Cocktail under the Skies |
| | Cocktail Under the Cool Skies December is also known as the rainy season in Singapore. Many thanks to our close friends who prayed for us, weather on our wedding day was extremely good. Our guests were able to enjoy cocktail in the open concept foyer under the cool skies! |

| | Cupcakes for Everyone! As suggested by our wedding planner, we got cupcakes from Baked Ideas. We were impressed with the design of the cakes that matched our "Autumn Romance" theme. We hoped that our guests would enjoy the cakes. |
| | An Evening of Fun and Laughter Well, the evening ended off with a 8-course sit-down Chinese Dinner. We had great fun and catching up with our guests. We really appreciated our guests who joined us that evening.
Meanwhile, both of us are still settling down in our married life. And yes, we would be heading for our honeymoon in Melbourne in early Jan 08.
