Bodrum 2007 Part 2

by Lyndra - last update: Mar 22, 2008

Nights out in Bodrum

Still smiling despite the alcohol comsumption!
What did I learn on my 9th visit to Bodrum...
* Time to lose the double chin
* And various other flabby bits caused by too much Efes
*
Can't keep going and he's half our age!!

Bob and Rob

My brothers first visit to Bodrum was great. He found it all a bit daunting but he did like Turkey.

He was so comfortable that he fell asleep sitting up...

As ever, my charitable and considerate sister wasted no time laughing at him and I took a picture to record the moment for history and subsequent ridicule ;o)
How orange is that top?

Bob

Ever present and ever ready Bob!

No trip to Turkey is complete without her...
The only pics of me seem to be in bars :-)

Turkey, Irish style...

The art of the Irish pub is not yet well embedded in Turkish culture. Despite being great lovers of all things Irish, the style and atmosphere of an Irish pub is not natural in this environment.

All attempts so far in Bodrum and Gumbet have resulted in hybrid Turkirish bars that think a leprechaun on the wall and a quick blast of the Irish Rover makes them Irish

There could be work here for me...
Mean and moody - sort of!

Rob!

My baby brother :o)
Don't touch the Efes!!!

Bob again!

My baby sister :o)

Note how nearly all recorded pictures of Bob show her with the famed Efes and a deranged grin on her face...

Wildlife at the Castle...

St Peter's Castle is home to a multitude of flora and fauna including gross insects, lizards and assorted reptile life and some gorgeous peacocks.
