Newgrange My brother and me at Newgrange - a 2000 year old neolithic burial mound. I'm *slightly* claustrophobic - I don't know what I would have done without Kevin keeping his hand at my back, and telling me I could make it. So glad I did - it is pretty incredible! |

The View from Blarney Castle OK, so you CAN'T go to Ireland and NOT visit Blarney Castle, right? The view is stunning! Yes, I kissed the Blarney Stone - you have to lay down on your back, scoot out over the ledge of the castle, lean WAAAAYYYY dow while holding onto a railing - it was a little freaky! |
Stone Circle I love this photo - it really is representative of the Ireland I saw. I was amazed at the various shades of green - the rock walls were everywhere, and the sheep... We were driving and saw a sign that said "Stone Circle", and 20 minutes down a steep, winding, dirt road, we arrived here. A detour well taken, I'd have to say... |
