Sierra Vista and Cochise County

Chiricahua National Monument
In Cochise County there are: National Parks like: Chiricahua National Monument with magnificent rock formations (see my page); Fort Bowie National Historic Site with the remains of an old fort used during the Apache Wars (started on my Bowie Page); Coronado National Monument where Coronado first entered the new world, and great scenery (see my page).
State Parks like: Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park (see my page) and Kartchner Caverns State Park
Wildlife Refuges like: San Bernadino National Wildlife Refuge and Texas John Slaughter Ranch with abundant wildlife and the only surviving example of an old Arizona Ranch (see my Douglas Page); and the Leslie Canyon Refuge; Ramsey Canyon Wildlife Preserve (will be on my Sierra Vista Page soon).
Other attractions like: Cochise Stronghold a scenic and historic site (started on my Pearce page); the Amerind Foundation with a great collection of Native American artifacts and art (see my Dragoon Page); Paramore Crater; Museums (see my Benson; Bisbee, Sierra Vista; Tombstone; and Willcox Pages); The Murray Springs Clovis Site an archeological site dedicated to the Clovis People (see my Sierra Vista Page); San Pedro House (see my Sierra Vista Page).

 a very detailed and informative page. i enjoyed visiting arizona with you :-) thanx God there are no scorpions in Canada, but we do have massassauga rattler. i will be in arizona one day, perhaps in 2009 :-)
