  Pigeons are generally at rest when they poop. Washes out easily. Agreed, the pigeons come for food; this makes them at least practical -- and less problem than other invasive species (tourists). Certainly less messy.

  Lovely page about a lovely city. Great photos of the bridges and San Marco, really useful tips (like the look of your B&B) and as ever, restaurant tips that made my mouth water :)
