Chobe National Park Chobe has huge herds of elephant. On occasions we passed within metres from them before actually becoming aware of their presence! It is amazing how such a huge animal can be so well camouflaged. |
Mopipi Mopipi village is in diamond country. Despite its apparent look of decrepitude, Botswana has a very healthy economy. We stopped and spoke to some local children, who were kind enough to pose for some photos with us. |
Savuti Game Reserve Savuti is famous for its predators, particularly lion and hyena. We saw this 'maanhaar' drinking from rainwater that accumulated in a depression on the road. He gave us a cold stare, continued drinking and then sauntered over a hill and disappeared from view. |
