"Forbidden photos" Vacherie Travelogue by grandmaR

Vacherie Travel Guide: 13 reviews and 60 photos

The brochure for this house said that photography was allowed. I took the first picture while waiting for the tour, and as the tour guide came in I took this picture. I was not using flash, but she told me that photography was now forbidden because of insurance concerns.

I felt scammed.

Especially because the furnishings weren't even original but were all 'of the period'.

We went into the next room, and my back was hurting me, so I sat down on the floor and took this photo of the dining room table.

As we left the dining room I took this one which I later cropped down to show just the area with my face.

And a detail of the dining room fireplace which had some historical significance.

And then I took one upstairs (shooting from the hip

I feel that anything visible through windows is fair game. Flash can't hurt, even if I was the kind of person who took flash photos.

This one I had to do some editing on to remove window reflections
