My Home's in Montana. . .

Madison Valley

Madison Valley Sunset
The valley neighboring where I live has some beautiful views over the Madison River - especially at night. Here, we'd gone to see a Buffalo Jump used by Native American tribes and were able to watch an amazing sunset from the top of a hill.
The Artist's Paint Pots

Yellowstone National Park

Being near Bozeman, one of the most amazing parks in the US is only a couple hours away. Seeing that everything in Montana is a couple hours (or more) away, this is a short trip.

Bannock

Bannock was once a booming mining town and the first territorial capital of the state. Now, it's a well perserved state park site where you can enter many of the buildings and where cultural events still take place in the summer.
Wisdom Ranches

Wisdom

In college, my grandfather fell in love with the West and got a job working on a ranch in Wisdom, Montana. He drove out in a pickup truck and spent as much time as he could there until his family from Connecticut called him home. My family history would have been very different if he hadn't returned to the East. But, I know that he would have liked to know that I was realizing his dream of living in Montana.

Bozeman

This is the sunrise from my front porch. For the first few months that I lived in the Gallatin Valley, I was often surprised by the sight of the mountains each morning. But, after 3+ years, I have to remind myself how amazing the valley is.

Gallatin Valley

The area where I live is filled with hikes - large and small - in the mountains. This picture shows the city of Bozeman from one of the shorter hikes in the Bridger Mountains. The city looks deceptively small - it's really a decent-sized college town.

Hi Carrie, how's the new home in Trieste? I've never been to Trieste on purpose but I was there by accident when Ryan Air dumped us there at midnight!!! I am very familiar with the floor of the train station....

Hi Carrie! I have spent more than six years in Trieste to attend university. Pity you have moved there now that I don't live there anymore. But I'll have to come again to Trieste before graduating in March... Have a nice week-end, Michele
