Upon arriving on the road from Galway, a traveler is greeted with the sight of one of Roundstone's only streets and its pier. After winding along the coast and through tiny villages for hours, the sight is beautiful!

The high crosses at Seven Churches inspire awe. We biked there before sunset (which was about 9:30) and wandered through the graveyard an church site.

The architechture in St. Patrick's was fascinating. We enjoyed the Evensong Service and then took our time looking through the monuments and displays inside. The tile floors and details of the interior are exceedingly detailed.

Free stone walls of Dun Aengus are an amazing example of early masonry. The walls have been standing for 3,000 years and show no signs of wear. We were careful at the edge but since it was a still day we took our chances!

My footprints on a morning walk on Gurteen Bay Beach near Roundstone in Connemara. We rented a car in Galway and took about 3 hours to get out of the city and all the way to Roundstone by way of the Coast Road from Rossaveal.
We stayed in a bed and breakfast just outside of Roundstone and enjoyed walks on the beach just across the road.

The Bog Road north of Roundstone is an excellent drive that we took on the way back to Galway. We traveled the narrow-but-paved road at a pace befitting two American girls with an eye out for sheep and were thrilled to see Irishmen harvesting turf.

on our Saturday night in Dublin, we enjoyed the sunset over the Liffy near Temple Bar. We'd sat for a pint of Bulmer's, watched a street performer and were making our way to the Busaras so Anna could catch her bus back to Kildare.
