Calfven between Woensdrecht and Ossendrecht

Jennie consulting our map, me on bike just outside the tiny village Calfven between Woensdrecht and Ossendrecht. I'm wearing the shirt that Robert, the tailor of Mvumi, made for me many, many years ago.

Huijbergen, time for some cappuccinos. Our visit coincided with the annual fair.

Border marker no. 246 Dutch-Belgian border

Border marker no. 246 on the Dutch-Belgian border. The actual border is very close by, but a road happens to run across the precise spot. When the road was constructed, people initially buried the border marker underneath, it was only recently dug up again and moved some ten or fifteen meters to the edge of the road. To mark the festivities, the Dutch fired salute shots (in the direction of Belgium!)

Kraaijenberg

Where the province of Zeeland meets the sand dunes (up to 20 meters tall) of the province of Noord-Brabant you'll find the watch tower "Kraaijenberg". Apparently an excellent spot for bird watching.
