"Tommy- An orphan puppy dog" by safindia

On 07-07-07 i.e. Seventh July 2007 I had a party at my new home in Roorkee for the inauguration of this home. I along with my family was very busy in all the day in entertaining the guests. In the evening, I looked at the side of my home in the empty plot that three small dog puppies were crying and sucking each other’s genital or ears or legs in mistakes of their mother’s nipples. I was shocked to see that their eyes were not even open. One can say they were only one day old. I looked for mother dog every where but all in vain. I presumed that either someone left them here from his home to get rid of them or their mother died in accident on the highway near my home. I do not yet know what happened to them but I could not see them hungry any more. Immediately, I went to shop and bought a nipple and milk bottle. I tried to feed them. They were crying to drink horribly. I had tears in my eyes to see them since we are childless couple. I fed them all one by one and they survived. I tried my best to save their lives but I lost two of them one by one in one week time since they were very week. I am happy to say that one named as ‘TOMMY” is now with me and survived. Tommy is now around one month old and now he keeps me happy every time when he is near me. Sometime he plays like a small kid with me. I fell God has not given me any child, may be we wanted me to look after this puppy. Now it does naughty and funny things. Every one in the family is very happy with it. He welcomes me on the gate every time I entered in to home. I never had a dog as pet in my life but now I feel it has changed my life.

I am sorry I have posted story and pictures of an animal on this website. Someone may feel bad but now it has become the part of my life. No one can understand the pain of being orphan. Now I do not feel childless.

Now, i sometime gime tommy milk in the plate.
He is getting more and more naughty every day.

I am surprised to see that its ear are chnging every day. Now they are straight like cats and move likes cats ears. He is turning to be a hunter.
