In the past, I didn't seek out UNESCO (UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) World Heritage Sites like I did national parks. However, it does influence me now when I'm looking for a new place to go. Usually, it's not because I want to cross another place off "the list" but because they're so incredible they're usually a primary point of interest.
Recently, I read through all the places around the world protected by UNESCO and realized I have a LOT more traveling to do;-)
The pictures are a few I've been to with the date they were added to the list of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites

|  | The Cappadocia/Kapadokya region of Turkey is unbelievable...we lived about 5 hours from here and I can't wait to go back to see it again. One of the best places I've visited in my life so far. |
