The day of the boat ride it rained, so many of the pictures will be a bit foggy. I was glad to be doing this bit of adventure with a Turkish tour guide; I didn't have to worry about getting on the wrong boat or getting off at the wrong stop!
By the time we headed back, the boat was more crowded with people heading home after work. I must say, not a bad way to end the workday: reading the paper, drinking some tea and being soothed by the rhythm of the rocking boat. |

| | Beylerbeyi Palace I believe this is one of the bathing pavilions on the palace grounds. There are two - one for men and one for women of the harem.
Sultan Abdul Aziz built Beylerbeyi Palace in 1860 as a summer residence and a place to entertain visiting foreign dignitaries. |
