Never did I exist

No more no more
Where are you
Come forth
And let me partake
Of your goodness
And your sadness
For life has failed me
And the unknown is still to come
Come forth you devils and give me rest
For life is tired and needs to rest
Get me some peace for my weary feet
Its time to go home to the kings and queens
Lost is my cause here on earth
Forgotten the winds and waves of yesterday

Forever I will stay in this cocoon
Spinning in this universe
Caught up by the ever present rotation
Unable to perceive what’s beyond
Trapped in a body of senses
Thoughts and dreams intermingling
To form my present self
I am not what I claim to be
For life has forced me into hiding.
Sometimes I forget who I am
So I take out the mirror of remembrance
And see how time has erased all
hopes and dreams.

Further and further into the whirlpool of my mind
Bitterness erupts and drowns me in its acid pool
Staring faces come back to haunt me
Retreating under the colour of my skin
Offering me some respite and protection
Hiding only to surface again
Into the nasty tasting morsels of insults
Choking me with their evil significance
Round and round spinning its angry web
Thoughts piercing me like poisoned arrows.

Bear with me oh Lord
Help me through this pain and agony
Take me out of this circle of despair
Clear my mind of these dark thoughts
Let me see again through eyes
Which are clear and innocent
For I am weak and weary and
Your light is just a breath away
