I arrived back in Dubai in une 2007 after almost a year. Once again I was faced by change, and not just because my daughter and her husband had changed residences. They now live in residential compounds away from the bustle of central Dubai. So I now see different places when we move around. The best thing is the almost private [shared ] pool where a dip in the warm water is ideal at the end of the day, and ensures my grand-daughter goes to sleep at a reasonable time.
I had the chance of seeing Dubai from the top of the Deira City Centre, after taking her to see Shrek III. There was no parking to be found except on the roof, and I've never seen Cty Centre so packed with shoppers. It was so congested trying to get down to street level, almost an hour, so we will have to make sure we go earlier and park lower down.

It is not just the external features that change, but inside the Malls too there are additions and extensions, so there is always something new to see

Near the Festival city is the Badia Hillside village. There are apartment buildings built in the traditional Arab style, as well as more Mediterranean style villas. There is a community centre and sports area , and a branch of Spinneys grocery.
Nearby is the new Four Seasons golf course, which will have a Four Seasons Hotel nearby.

There is already one good golf course in Dubai, near the creek; but this new one is beside the yet to be built Four Seasons Hotel.
