Unlike in The Fridge Society (VT's COOLEST subsociety), future members can neither apply nor be nominated for The Secret Toaster Society (VT's HOTTEST subsociety). You will be accepted only if you receive a secret sign. You mave have been a member of The Secret Toaster Society for many years without even knowing it. Anywhere in the world there is a toaster with your name on it. And once you (or someone else) happens to locate it, then you're in.
When I traveled to Cyprus in March 2007, I found a
Serpa toaster in my vacation apartment. Serpa is the Greek version of the name
Sirpa, so this was the secret clue revealing Sirpa as a secret member of The Secret Toaster Society.
Recently, Sirpa came across a
Johnson toaster in one of her secret kitchen cabinets, and after this secret clue we can now be absolutely sure that I am a secret member of The Secret Toaster Society, too. What about you? Seen any secret toasters lately?
