|  | Rainy Days in Holland Let me begin by saying i LOVED Holland. The gorgeous buildings, the canals everywhere, the siroopwafels. I spent Cinco de Mayo in Gouda's market square listening to a latino band and eating fried fish pieces with sauce. I marvelled at how close the cars park to the edge of the canals! I spent a day at Keukenhof with the tulips and marvelled at how beautifully the entire place has been orchestrated. I spent a soggy day in Amsterdam dodging in and out of dry places to grab a coffee or a smoke. I marvelled at how those canal tour-boat drivers maneuver amongst the other tours, the bridges and the houseboats! I missed The Netherlands as soon as I left and hope to visit again...my siroopwafels are all gone! |
