Split is the place where I was born, made my first steps, learned how to swim,... It is a beautiful Mediterranean town, second largest in Croatia, known by Diocletian's Palace, palm trees on the sea promenade, Marjan hill, beautiful girls and strong supporters of local sports clubs.
It is also a noisy Mediterranean town, where people are (sometimes painfully) direct and where whole neigbourhood is always interested what are you having for dinner like their lives depend on it. Although I love this town, I also think that this beauty needs a proper dosage. That's why I stayed in Zagreb after graduating at the University here and several weeks that I spend in Split every year are only pure pleasure and enjoyment, visiting friends and family and enjoying some sun or bura wind.

Zagreb is the place where I live for the past 15 years, I finished University here, made new friends, learned how to live without sun for months and how to walk on snow or ice. Its size enables you to choose between numerous theatres, cinemas and clubs in the evening and when it's time to go home you don't have to be scared to take a night tram or walk the empty streets. It is a beautiful Central European city, a place where Viennese culture is mixed with a dash of Mediterranean creating an enjoyable atmosphere of efficiency and warmth.

1. I'm an architect. But I'd love to be a tram driver.
2. I don't know how to ride a bike. I just recently bought my first car.
3a. If the place is generally considered "beautiful", I probably won't like it a lot. If it is "picturesque" then I better stay far away.
3b. If I consider some building beautiful most people's comment will be: "Wha? Why?"
4. I think people should pass entrance exams in order to be allowed to vote.
5. The only computer game I tried playing was Solitaire. The help section wasn't helpful for me. It's about combining colours, right?
6. I am addicted to chocolate.
7. I hate shopping, especially clothes. The preparation alone (that lasts several weeks) makes me nervous.
8. I started going to the gym after by back started to hurt two years ago. I still think most of the equipment belongs to torture rooms and they should pay me for testing it.
9. My roommates are Waldo II and Wilhelmina Hedwiga. They only require light (but not direct sunlight) and regular watering.
10. I give names to plants and other stuff. If the computer breaks I first try talking to him. Many times it works.
11. I am ophiophobic. An electric cord can scare me to death.
12. I can notice a typo even in foregin langugaes that I don't speak.
13. I'm not superstitious. But I generally consider thirteen to be my lucky number.
