St.Paul's Islands The name for these small islands was derived from the shipwreck of St.Paul. St.Paul was on his way to Italy to preach Christianity when a storm arose and his boat got shipwrecked on this island and they swam on to the shores of St Paul's Bay. Whilst, he and his friends where warming up around a fire a viper came out of the wood for the fire and bit St. Paul. The people who were there were shocked when nothing happened to St.Paul. This story was told through generations and generations, so this is were the name of St paul's Bay and the islands derived from. Infact, we celebrate this occasion on the 10th February every year. | | |
