Major expenditures - Bob & Patty

Flight SFO -SGN $885, $869 (Bob's is more as Sunday flight out.)
Vietnames Visa $130, $65 (Bob's is more as multiple entry)
Trip Insurance $50, $50

Day 1:
Kim Hotel $20
Airport pickup $7

Day 2 and 3:
2 nights at Hanh Hoa hotel $30
Boat trip through Delta to Phnom Penh $39 one way, includes meals and 1 night hotel room and upgrade to fast boat to PP from Chau Duk.
Air tickets SGN to Hanoi, one way $96 each

Day 4:
None really, Delta trip & lodging already paid for

Day 5:
Tuk Tuk to killing fields for 4 hours and admittance fee, $12

Day 6:
Moto & Tuk Tuk rides and entrance to SL 21 Genocide museum), $8.50
Mekong Express bus ticket to Siem Reap, $10

Day 7
Two nights at River Star Hotel, Phnom Penh, $30 ($15/night w/o breakfast)

Day 8:
Tuk Tuk ride to Ankor Wat for 2 1/2 hours, $4
Entrance fee to Ankor, $20 (for tomorrow, 1 day pass)
One hour massage, $6, excellent

Day 9:
$72, Siem Reap Hotel bill, $18/night at Shadow of Angkor Hotel, no brkfst, good, not great deal. Stayed 3 or 4 nights.

Seem to be missing a day here????
Boat to Floating Village, $15, not that exciting but ride there pretty good.
Tuk Tuk for 3 hrs, $4

Day 10:
Entrance fee to Angkor for 1 day, $20
Tuk tuk for day, $10
Mekong Express to Phnom Penh bus ticket, $10
Mekong Express, Phnom Penh to Saigon bus ticket, $12

$41 - Two nights in Saigon at Government run guesthouse w/breakfast
$1.50, 2.5 kg laundry at 900 dong/kilo

$24 - first night in Hanoi at Camiella 4 Hotel, bad hotel, w/full breakfast
$18 - Two one hour massages near hotel
$63 - 2nd and 3rd night in Hanoi at Hong Nguc Hotel, great hotel, everything but pool, $31.50/night w/full breakfast, negotiated from $40
$5 - Tickets to Water Puppet Show, $2.50/ea
?? - Tickets to Hanoi Hilton Prison museum, maybe $2/ea
$180 Halong Bay cruise, $90/ea, Tropical sails (negotiated from $97/ea), inc transport to/from Hanoi, 4 meals/ea and overnight berth w A/C. Unreal scenery, surrealistic at times.
$62, Train tickets from Hanoi - Hue, $31/ea, Soft berth sleeper -terrible, whole car stunck, mattresses dirty, pillows dirty, everything dirty, bathrooms disgusting! Not a enjoyable experience!
$20, Hue hotel, fantastic bargain, pool, great brkfst, inside Citadel by Palace Remains
$12, Two one hour massages at hotel.
$4.40 - Bus to Hoi An, $2.20/ea, Sinhcafe, excellent value, free bottled water, stopped at rest stop and Marble Mt. A/C
$75, Hoi An hotel, 3 nights (25/night), excellent value, pool, brkfst, internet
$3, motobike rental for day, new honda phantom, excellent
$2, chairs/umbrella on beach, $1/ea
$3 motobike rental for 2nd day, went to My Son, approx 55km ea way.
$3.80 gas for motobike for two days (about $2.80/US gallon or 1180 dong/litre
$8, admission to My Son sight (Champa ruins) ($4/ea)
$4.50, 5.5 kg laundry at 1000 dong/kilo
Day :
$89, Airfare to Nha Trang on May 22, $44.50/ea, thru Sinhcafe
$7 Taxi to Danang airport , airport is disgusting, bathroom in restaurant worse than Mexico. 12:45 flight cancelled, rebooked on 2:10 flight
$248.00, Patty's shopping spree for clothing/shoes in Hoi An
$4.40, van from Cam Ranh Bay to Nha Trang, $2.20/ea (Cam Ranh Bay airport is trash, the worse.)
$25, hotel, one night, brkfst included, pool on roof, very small, clean new room, good location, free internet brkfst good, not great
$8, Bus tickets to Dalat from Sinhcafe
$16, Hotel in Dalat, 2 nights at $8, no brkfst, very basic but clean.
$5, motorbike rental in Dalat, automatic, new condition.
$2.50, gas for bike.
$1, entry to Crazy House
$1, entry to Bao Dai's summer palace

Major expenditures - Bob & Patty - Part two

$60, Vietnam Airlines tickets to Saigon, $30/ea, on old Fokker70 jet. Flight 30 minutes late leaving. Dalat airport dinky and grubby.
$2.50, Vietnam airlines van to airport, $1.25 ea, 30km, van full but clean and comfortable. Only westerners on board
$4.50, taxi from Ton Son Nhut to hotel. Vinh Taxi, honest, heavy traffic, worse Saigon traffic we've seen.

May 28,
$6, two motobikes to Phu Tho area to revisit old RCG compound area about 1 and 1/2 hours.
$79, Hotel in Saigon for 4 nights, 3 w/breakfast @ $20/ea and 1 w/o at $16/ea plus 3 drinks ($.80) and laundry ($.70) excellent value and location.
May 29, Cab to TSN airport, $2.85, (46,500 dong), we're outta here.
