Sights around Brissie

by sklc - last update: Apr 30, 2007

Skyline at night

City lights
Lights make a quiet city come alive, the river flows undisturbed... wonder what lies beneath
Too bad I didn't capture a city cat

Daytime in Brissie

A magnificent display of sky-scrapers by the Brisbane river. The best way to travel in Brissie is via the city cats, a cheap, cool and fast riverboat that takes you from the city to the university too. Cyclists often hop on when the heat gets the better of them.

Casino ala Vegas

This building must be colonnial, sadly converted into a casino... Should have been a museum or school. That'll be awesome. I suppose the money pouring into the casino pays the building's maintenance. Oh well!
It could have been a scene from Paris or Vegas
Woohoo! But this is a river, not the seaside.

South Bank Manmade Beach

The perfect place for BBQs, picnics, swimming, getting a tan and just hanging out with friends and family. It gets pretty crowded as the beach is short... you might want to drive out to Sunshine Coast or Surfers Paradise if you need more sand.
