Thought this was nice enough to open a travelogue all by itself.
Acco is a Crusader city situated in the far northwest of Israel on the coast.
Acco Crusader Castle, Israel
This is looking along the sea wall of the old city of Acco. It was originally built by the Crusaders in their battle against the Moslems occupying Jerusalem and the Holy Land of Israel. The picture was contributed by my friend Steve.

Promenade, Acco, Israel
This is the new promenade in Acco that leads from the old city to the new. The pictures shows from the old city looking north along the coast toward the new city of Acco.
Acco, UNESCO named, Israel
This is the sign at the entrance to the old city of ACCO (Acre or Akko) that shows it has been designated a UNESCO site.
