Friday Night at the Brewery Setting up a meeting in a brewery has to be a stroke of genius since we are obviously going to meet not just fellow travellers but fellow drinkers as well - it certainly succeeded judging by the tables as we left ;) |
| | It all starts off so civilisedly......... ........with a few beers downstairs and then up to our tables for dinner.
Keith doesn't even have a beer in front of him at this stage as he discusses the role of ascetic Protestantism in the rise of capitalism in Western society with Maecke, who seems to be giving it serious thought. |
Meanwhile the other table gets settled........ ........as Hansi (in the red jumper) bursts into tears and has to get his hanky out - saying something to Stuart about the fact that it's no small wonder that Stu is shy of being photographed.
| | Absent friends are toasted....... .....but note that we only bought them one drink between them..... |
........'cos they needed to be sober to fend off Allan and the killer rabbit!
| | Then it was off to Cafe Globen........ .......where Claus bought the beers, and even poured them!! But the best was yet to come.......... |
THE GREENLANDERS - Heeyeeoooch! Who made the weekend a totally unique one. A weekend full of special moments and special people. Dancing and drinking with the Greenlanders just made everything that little more special, adding that je ne sais quoi to what was an amazing trip - tears are forming even as I type: a moment in life captured forever in memory.
| | And some people just take everything in their stride!
Just set the day Raz, but the problem I can see is who will be our "best man"?
And there is still Saturday and Sunday to come!!! |

They just proof that Carlsberg can make good beer if somebody likes to pay a little extra of it. | Nemorino Wed Dec 26, 2007 23:07 UTC Sounds like you had some great times in Copenhagen. I'm hoping to go there sometime in 2008 on the new ICE train from Hamburg. | Ina22Marina Thu May 24, 2007 04:15 UTC A delight to read John, about each and all of past and present stops in CPH!!
