Spain 2006

by scanos - last update: Apr 1, 2007

7 days around Spain

The scottish columbian connection in Madrid
Fri Flew Belfast -> Barcelona jet2.com - circa 2 hours
The flight lft early at 8.00 am, very pleasant experience. Got the train from the airport to my hotel close to Estacio Franca. I got up early next morning and hired a bike to take in the port area and Las Ramblas - great fun. Got the train to the airport for the trip to Seville.

Sat Flew Barcelona -> Seville vueling.com - circa 1 hour
A marked difference in temperature from Barca - some 37C. Unfortunately. my hotel ( Novotel) was quite a hike from the old centre so I dusted off my walking shoes.

Sun Day trip by train Seville <> Jerez www.renfe.es
Jerez has some old Andalusian bars with no tourists. Worth the visit alone to see these. Some have large tiled steps which locals use as seats.

Mon AVE Train Seville to Cordoba www.renfe.es

Tue AVE Train Cordoba to Madrid www.renfe.es

Wed Day trip by train Madrid <> Toledo www.renfe.es

Thu Madrid

Fri Train Madrid -> Barcelona www.renfe.es, Flight Barcelona -> Belfast jet2.com

Thank you S K for your sweet comment :-) From your homepage and interests I am sure you love this part of Italy :-)) There is more in the so-called Valneria, Valley of Nera, thousands of small hilltop towns....
