Some local amateurish Photo's of Newcastle

Slieve Donard the areas highest mountain (850m)

Slieve Donard about to be covered in cloud.
The Glen River walk leads to the summit of Donard and from the saddle you can reach Commedagh. Views on a clear day are impressive! Dundrum Bay, the mountains of south-west Scotland,north-west England, and the Isle of Man and Snowdonia in Wales. At least I can say I've seen Snowdonia it looks an easy walk!!

It's around 9km to top of Slieve Donard from Donard Park allow at least 6 Hours.
Bridge over Shimna River

The 'Sydney Bridge' of Newcastle

This photo is taken at the towns new promenade with great views along the coast and the mountains in the background.
View of Central & South Promenade / Sea & Mountain

Sea & Mountain

This photo shows the coast towards the Newcastle Harbour Area, with the St. Johns Church of Ireland spire a landmark feature. Taken from the Bridge.

Hi Spotie, i like your motto- life is a journey, but i figured your very spiritual and religious, does that not mean that the destination of lifes journey; namely heaven should be known to you?
