Slieve Donard the areas highest mountain (850m) | Slieve Donard about to be covered in cloud. |
The Glen River walk leads to the summit of Donard and from the saddle you can reach Commedagh. Views on a clear day are impressive! Dundrum Bay, the mountains of south-west Scotland,north-west England, and the Isle of Man and Snowdonia in Wales. At least I can say I've seen Snowdonia it looks an easy walk!!
It's around 9km to top of Slieve Donard from Donard Park allow at least 6 Hours. |
| | The 'Sydney Bridge' of Newcastle This photo is taken at the towns new promenade with great views along the coast and the mountains in the background. |
