|  | A little about me I grew up in Gatineau, have lived here all my life. It's a beautiful city, has grown a lot from a suburb of Ottawa and yet has managed to stay green. I have had the fortune of growing up with an older brother and younger sister, making for interesting summer vacations. Before my parents bought a cottage, we either rented a cottage or travelled somewhere giving us a chance to visit Canada (and U.S a little). Some of my best childhood memories are from these trips. Of course I must not count out the countless wonderful summers that continue to happen up at the cottage.
We usually didn't go too far however we did visit PEI, Gaspe, Quebec City and Wildwood (U.S.). These road trips were the best! Nothing like getting to know the country better than having the car break down in some small town on a Sunday afternoon :-)). Once the family settled down to a more permanent vacation spot (our cottage) my travels consisted mainly of weekend trips to Toronto. I've had many good times there with both family and friends.
A trip to San Diego in 1990 (?) Renewed my interest in other countries and cultures. In 2002 I couldn't wait any longer and found a friend to travel somewhere, anywhere in Europe. We decided to go to Ireland, land of family history, beautiful landscape and the most wonderful people. My return home I decided if and when I get married, never mind the beaches... back to Europe I go. |
| | Remembering On a sadder note, my sister lost her boyfriend to cancer this week. He went quickly and did not suffer too much as he was only diagnosed in August (2005). He more than deserves a spot on my page has he was such a loved man, so full of life, always lit up a room and made everyone laugh. He will be dearly missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with my sister and Mike’s family. (January 2006) |
We did it! We did it!! Got married August 28, 2004. Best day of my life! Left the next day on our honeymoon to the Netherlands and Belgium. My husband’s first time on a plane. Flight went smoothly and we had a great time. Actually he would like to return. Hmmm I think maybe I gave him the travel bug. |

We welcomed our little angel into our crazy lives in May 2008. When they say a bundle of joy… they weren’t kidding. It is so amazing to be a mother and I love Sean more and more each day. |
Wish for my son Some of my fondest memories as a kid are during our summer road trips. On these trips, things never went completely as planned and I soon learned that the fun was not only in the destination but the trip there. I got the travel bug with these summer vacations and now I hope to pass on such experiences to my son.
Together we will discover Canada and some day perhaps he will get the travel bug to explore and discover new cultures beyond our little home. |
