A view inside one of the smaller aquarium tanks in Kelly Tarlton's.
Since we visited last time, they've added the attraction "Stingray Bay" (where a wetsuited handler actually gets into their huge open topped tank - I guess it's a pool 12 mts x 6 mts - and hand feeds them, and the rays actually rub up against the handler and eat out of his hand, and show no agressivity towards him at all - indeed, they seem quite gentle - really huge creatures.
(They aren't the same kind, but also have barbs on their tails like the one that killed Steve Irwin earlier in the year) |
