The Moroccan Pilgrims came from the east with a new religion and the simple Native Berber people at one time peacefully shared their land after seeing the light of the new peaceful religion.

Later, Idriss I came, fleeing religious persecution, and was adopted by the simple Native Berber people, and ruled justly over them. When his fledgling city was attacked several times by Wild Berbers from the mountains, he offered them money for the town. He was a peaceful man bringing peaceful peace to the Simple Berber Savages.

They all ate stuffed chicken with olives, nuts, and pickled lemon one Thursday night in early 700's and Idriss said "Let this night of sharing food be remember along with all the other lies Jamal has written above"

And so it was. And so it is. Thank Giving. Eat.

This was my Grandmother Gloria Morelli's favorite holiday, God rest her soul.

I still feel her near me. (You too, Gam..)

I celebrated this night as a remembrance (Dhikr) night for her. This was more easily grasped than Thanksgiving.

Grammy, I love you. I miss you. We all thought about you.

While I'm in neighborhood, a warm Moroccan food-smelling-kiss goes to my family in America. I love you, too. Hope to see you here, nsha'allah.
