Irish/Dutch Wedding

by SabrinaSummerville - last update: Feb 17, 2007

Meet the Bride and Groom

Gemma and Cian
Gemma, the bride, is the little sister of my Brother in Law. In fact, she's always been like my own little sister since I very first met her and I love her dearly.

She's been dating Cian for ten years now. He's half Dutch so there was a major contingent from Eindhoven over for the wedding. He's so handsome I think he should be in a Boy Band:-) He's also every bit as nice and good and kind as Gemma is.

Talk about a match made in Heaven!
Little Flowergirl Sophie

...and the Flower Girl

What a tiny pretty picture little Sophie made. She made more dramatic and entrance than the Bride:-)
Jack the Pageboy

Did I mention the Pageboy?

There wasn't a dry eye in the house when little Jack walked up the aisle holding his ring cushion in one hand and his little sister Sophie in the other.
Sandra and Lydia - Bridesmaids Supreme:-)

Bridesmaids as pretty as a picture

I loved the fur wraps - perfect for a cold and windy December day. Hmmm, in this pic you can't see those yummy wraps, but it's a cuter pic:-)
Bride & Groom with Aunt Helen

The Cake...

...was just about every girl's dream. Three layers of chocolate biscuit cake, a giant dark layer at the bottom, the middle one was dreamy creamy milk chocolate, and to top it all a bridal white chocolate touch of pure temptation. Mmmmmmm.
Enjoying a celebratory pint of Guinness

There was Drinking Galore

Galore, in case you don't know, comes from the irish "Go Leor", which means "plenty". Here we have one of the Dutch contingent trying out the local brew.
