Variety and diversity are said to be the spice of life. The greatest diversity occurs along frontiers . That is where ever two different places come together. Well, Michigan is loaded with frontiers .

Lakes & shore: Michigan as the greatest length of shoreline outside of Alaska. I believe it's more than Hawaii. The variety of harbor towns, beaches, bays, cities, lifestyles, recreation abound from this wide variety. From the cold and rough Lake Superior to the quiet and gentle Lake St. Clair, Michigan has the variety.

Big Cities: The greater Detroit region offers every option of an urban center. High culture of museums, restaurants, theater, major productions. Detroit as a versatility all it's own.

Small Towns: From the small communities of a few hundred to larger rural communities of a few thousand, Michigan is dotted with wonderful expierences and hidden gems. Maybe it's in Allegan, or Leland, try Harrisville or East Tawas. Further north you'll find Paradise, the town of Paradise that is and numerous communities hidden in the woods of the UP.

Two years brought many adventures. The Mighty Mac, Point Pelee, the most southerly point in Canada and a train trip west to Montana

Once out of the house, I found that I could move about the country finding work in some of America's great places and spend more time, i.e., weekends and holidays, seeing places in detail.
