| Page Views: 1,723 | Wildflowers - and their use in "medicine" & meals by Trekki - last update: Jan 3, 2008 |
Since some years, I have a strong interest (well, but not very extensive knowledge) in wildflowers, wild herbs and their use in "medication" and of course in meals. Medication - I don't mean to replace doctor's advices, but like camomille flowers in tea and so on.
So I have the idea to place wherever I find and collect a wildflower or herb somewhere, a tip about it, about how and when to collect, how to dry and how to use, on the respective country pages.
I would be happy, if more of you would participate and write similar tips about plants in your countries. Just send me a mail, with link or postcard, and I will put links to your tips then here in this album. And I would appreciate, if Jean-Louis and Joan would participate :-), and of course you all others, too :-)
To give you an idea what I mean, I did already 1 of these, for: Spain
Thanks in advance - the more of you would like to participate, the better :-)

Anything that is native to a country, and grows wild :-)
Mark , our mushroom specialist, has a very good album on how to find mushrooms , but what is more important - what to make out of the forest findings later on in the kitchen :-) YUM !! Mark, can I invite myself and eat the whole pot ?

Nemorino Sun Nov 15, 2009 00:02 UTC Hello Ingrid, thanks for your visit to my new Schäftersheim page. I hope you got a good grade when you worked on land reform for your geography class at school. Tonight I saw La Bohème at the Frankfurt Opera and it was excellent! | richiecdisc Sat Nov 14, 2009 17:28 UTC Never underestimate your own passion, Ingrid or overestimate the length of a day. They are NEVER long enough! lol | toonsarah Sat Nov 14, 2009 10:34 UTC Hello Ingrid, and thanks fo rthe nice words about my photos :-) I was at the hospital yesterday and it seems I must be patient as it could take more weeks to heal than I had thought, but I will get there eventually! | royalempress Fri Nov 13, 2009 19:06 UTC Hi, We have reservations starting Sept. 13 in Orvieto for 6 nights.
