My Love My Life

Don with Patches and Callie
I met Don in summer of 1997. What a great summer for me!I
finally met someone who liked to go and do and he loves animals also. Through the years he has proven time and time again what a great guy he is. He is a firm supporter of me and I of him. We know that we were meant to be!The road to happiness is not always paved but if you are with someone you truely care for the bumps are not so bad.
My Daddy Bill relaxing

My Daddy was my biggest fan!

My dad and I were very close throught the years and he was another reason I loved to travel. He insisted I not work until I was out of High School so that I could concentrate on school and the corps. In 1978 he became a driver for the Corps so we got to travel together. Unfortunately I lost my Dad in September 1992. He was only 51. I still get choked up about it at times. He passed 2 days before my 27th birthday and 11 days before his 52nd. I bought a new car in June of 1992 and Dad and I hit the road in July. We drove for a week just enjoying the ride. I am so glad we had that time together. For a long time I did not want to do anything. Then 5 years later Don came along, Thank God! I did make it back to Oklahoma a couple times to see family I had never met after Dad passed. That started to respark me.
Dad was a good man and many people will always remember Daddy Bill.

This is Why We Walk!

This year we walked to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. It was a beautiful day and the sun could not have been prettier shining on the water. The picture is of our small but determined team. We named ourselves MonSter Slayers because those of us who have MS call it a monster. Although great things have happened in the last 10 years to help fight this disease there is no cure and the treatments are sometimes worse then the disease. I am hoping that in the near future it will all be a bad memory if not for me then for the next generation. Last year only Don and I walked and it was raining cats and dogs yet we plodded along. I have a good feeling about the future and I know that it starts with the present. !!
