| | Growing up is......hard! It is interesting to know that The African Penguin moult between November and January.
During this period which could last btween 19-20 days the birds cannot go to sea and have to fast for at least three weeks!
When one has a closer look at them, they can look quite miserable, and appears twice as large as their parents.
They do however lose half of their body weight during "their fasting period.":~)) |
