Epilogue | Frank, Ellen, and Tom at the ballgame |
First, I'm sorry to say I was very disappointed by the quality of my photos. I especially had trouble in low light, and far too many great shots for my taste came out blurry. That said, I still had a few pictures from the Fest that just didn't fit in the story of my other travelogues, so without further ado, here they are! 8) |
| O's fans cheer... for the moment... ;) |
| | Cheers at the ballgame I debated using this in the ballgame travelogue, but it came out a bit blurrier than the one I chose. It's of Ellen (Ellielou), Frank (Frankcanfly), and Edgar (Terps94) celebrating after an Orioles score. |
| | The Tourist Office This one I considered using in the Day 2 travelogue, but it didn't quite fit. I really liked the reflection of the flags in the glass, though. |
| | Inner Harbor shot I really liked this shot, but it really didn't fit in the story. Maybe I'll put it on my Baltimore introduction page in the future. :) |
| O say does that star spangled banner yet wave? |
| | The Star Spangled Banner This one is a very nice shot of the 15 star, 15 stripe US Flag of 1812 flying atop Federal Hill. You'll see them quite a bit around here because of the American victory at the Battle of Baltimore. The British failure to capture Fort McHenry was pivotal to the victory, and was the inspiration for Francis Scott Key's penning of his poem, "The Star Spangled Banner," which eventually became the lyrics to the US National Anthem. Hey, maybe I can make that into a tip someday... 8) |
| Grrr... where's my airbrush? ;) |
| | Beautiful but flawed shot I really liked this shot of the skyline and cannons from atop Federal Hill. Unfortunately, I didn't notice the stupid crane in the shot. Still, it's worth taking a look at. |
| Jim displays his virtual guests |
| | Virtual Attendees Finally, I have a pair of shots for some of our virtual attendees. These were taken at LP Steamers, the place with the crabs and beer. :) The first is of Jim and his virtual adoptee. |
| DSWEDE enjoys his Yuengling |
| | DSWEDE was here! Well, I adopted two VTers myself, the first of whom was DSWEDE. I heard he enjoys his brews, so I thought I'd provide him some refreshment.
My other virtual attendee was Charlotta (Sjalen). There's a picture of her hidden somewhere on my Baltimore page, but I won't violate LOCAL CUSTOMS and tell you where it is. Sorry, I'm just in a CRABBY mood... %7 |

We were in Baltimore several years ago and liked the waterfront area very much. |
