| | Palawan After Baguio, we drove back to Manila, stayed there one night, then we were off to Palawan the next day.
I was born in Isabela, but moved to Palawan with my family when I was 6 years old and stayed there until we moved to Vancouver in when I was 10. Palawan is home to a plethora of pristine beaches. It is a more relaxed and secluded place compared to the party scene in Boracay.
Palawan is where we stayed the longest (5 days). We visited old friends that we grew up with and my parents coworkers from 'back in the day'.
Must sees: Crocodile Farm, Underground River (DO NOT miss this!), Dos Palmas Resort
Hotel Suggestions: Asturias Hotel. This is located in the capital city of Puerto Princesa. From here, they can arrage trips for you to go island hopping and visit other sites. |
Boracay After Palawan, it was another brief stop in Manila. In Manila, my brother and I, along with our other friend from Canada, once again met with my cousins (also from Canada, but were also in Philippines on vacation) to party. We decided to go to VBar in Glorietta. Lots of fun. Got crazy drunk, went back to the hotel, packed my bags, then boarded a plane to Boracay...still drunk!
Boracay is unbelievable! Non stop partying, great shopping, great hotels...EVERYTHING anyone could ever want.
I'm sorry I can't provide you with a better picture. I was too busy frolicking in the beach and I never brought my camera because I didn't wanna get it wet! | | | white sand, cloudy skies : ( |

| | **side trip**Bangkok After 3 days in Boracay, we once again went back to Manila and spent one night there. The next day, it was back to the airport to board a plane to Bangkok. This time it wasn't business/first class : (
We spent 4 AMAZING days in Bangkok. It was my family and my aunt, uncle, and cousin from Philippines. It was a wonderful time shopping, sight seeing, eating, etc. |
Bohol After Bangkok, it was back to Manila to sleep for one night, then the next day, it was back to the airport to board a plane to Bohol.
We took a day tour around the city, which was great, went on a riverboat cruise for lunch, visited the tarsier monkeys, and of course, saw the famouse chocolate hills (which was green because we went in June!). We then ended the day in a beach front resort. I'm sorry, I forgot the name of the famous beach in Bohol! | | |
| | Manila After Bohol, we went back to Manila and spent our last night in Philippines in STYLE! I, once again, convinced my dad to splurge and billet the family in the Manila Penninsula Hotel (can you tell that I'm a daddy's girl? haha). It was great. While we were there, we saw 3 local celebrities, and we were pampered and treated very well. The buffet breakfast was amazing, the room was immaculate, and the service was wonderful.
My favorite part was being chauffered around the Makati area in a Mercedez Benz. My dad informed me that this was part of the room deal, so I took advantage of it right away. I went to Rockwell Power Plant mall, shopped and finished the last of my pesos with my cousins, spent the rest of the day at the spa, and then called to have my Mercedez pick me up. It was great! |
Conclusion Well, this is the closest I'm going to get to building my Philippines pages. I'm just too lazy and pretty soon I'll be too busy because I'm back in school in a few days!
My trip was wonderful and I miss it already! I hope to be back very soon.
*because i flew business class to and from Philippines and because i flew with PAL within the country as well as on our little trip to Bangkok, i am happy to report that i now have enough Mabuhay Miles for a return trip to Philippines for free! | | | last night with the girls |
