As a kid I relished the thought to go to East Africa and make documentaries for National Geographic. As I grew up and realized that this career path became highly unlikely, I switched to animal photography. Thank God for digital cameras, or else I would spend a fortune on film rolls!

It is funny how often animals will turn their back on you. Sometimes you get the impression they don`t like being photographed, like this camera-shy rhino. |

Zebras are probably my most-photographed animals as there colourful patterns and contrasts are just perfect for animal photography ... that goes for giraffe, too. | | |
