The attraction of the eetkamer van de Jordaan | me, Igraine, jo104 & Rich |
|
| tingles and a fast chicken |
| | The Attendees Another get-together at the Eetkamer van de Jordaan, what starts becoming a VT-gem. I think Igraine invited me because jo204 was coming over; well we ended up with: jo104 and tinglesIgraineme and Swanèt |
| It's called a salad, but there's cheese inside! |
| | Just a starter It was a bit of a rainy day and I had to work first. Swanèt and I arrived around 4.30PM at the station and rushed to do some shopping (read: record hunting). Only 5 minutes late we joined the others at the Eetkamer and started reading the menu; Dutch only so that was a splendid opportunity to teach some native language.
Rich needed a fast dinner, because he had to catch a flight from Schiphol later that evening. He had to limit himself to chicken (well, fries and vegetables arrived a little later to accompany the bird). |
| Igraine writing a postcard (to dabs?) |
| | Mandatory labour Lucky enough jo104 had bought 4 postcards only, so that did not stop our nice conversation too much. I hope the receivers will leave a comment so I can get to know them better (they were new to me!). |
| | The Main course I asked the waitress for the nicest piece of meat and she recommended the last line on the menu:
Hèhè eindelijk iets zonder “liflafjes” malse Tournedos met lekkere Kruidenboter.
Sorry, no translation, haha. |
| jo104 inspecting the red wine |
| | Once the wine starts working ... As we all travelled by public transport we started with wine right from the beginning. I got reflections of my very first meeting with kiwi (better check if I'm right with that!). |
| jo104 still laughs, but can you read her mind? |
| | At the brink of exploding Dessert time. It became a difficult decision point of the evening. The starter and main course already filled our stomages richly, but as usual the goodies were very tempting. Here's jo104 still laughing with the white chocolate mouse and more on her plate. It took a joined effort to empty that. We had a great evening (even did some VT gossipping) and we'll see each other back; I'm sure of that! Goto the next meeting: A different monkey meet |
