June 10 Declared Filipino Day | Philippine Independence Day Celebration in Vaughan |
Celebration of the Philippine Independence was held at the Civic Centre of Vaughan attended by Mayor Michael Di Biase himself, councillors, and MPP.
The event was highlited with the Philippine Folk dance by the young girls and boys of various associations, and the 'young once' of the Filipino Canadian Association of the City of Vaughan headed by the President herself Erlinda Insigne and Director and Dance Instructor Lily Miranda. The well applauded speech of Mayor DiBiase was so emotional and became an inspiration for all the Filipino-Canadian living in the city most especially when he declared June 10 as Filipino Day. |
