Rameses II obelisk

Near the new Cairo airport is an obelisk to Ramses II [if my reading is correct], but for how long will it remain. A statue of him further along the road is going to be removed like the one in front of the railway station, if my taxi driver's information is correct.
I always liked seeing these monuments as I felt that at last I was back in Egypt, Land of the Pharaohs.
