My photos don't really do this flight justice as there was a lot of glare from the windshield of the helicopter. Bummer, but this was an awesome flight and the memories will last a lifetime in my brain. Helicopters are a great way to see the inaccessible vistas and views of this marvelous island.
Helicopter rides can be a tad pricey and it is advisable to make sure the weather will be clear with little to no wind. I would say an early morning flight is the best time as the sun is not up overhead making picture taking a bit tricky due to glare from the windshield. They do have tours where you fly with the doors off but if it is raining or there is wind it will be darned uncomofrtable when you are up at 7,000 feet for sure! |
Many movies were filmed on the island Movies such as, "Bali Hai, Jurrasic Park, Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark, Elvis Presley's Blue Hawai'i" are to name just a few | | |
| Um, are you sure we have the right of way? |
| | Clear to take off, but wait for that jet to leave ATC (air traffic control) cleared us for take off, I hope that jet below stays put until we clear the runway! Of course they did but I like this photo anyway. |
