Introduction and a Trip to Wall Drug I drive a hot orange Mini Cooper convertible which I've named the Lady Mango. Well the Lady and I throughly enjoy takin' trips around the US together but I thought we needed a friend just to make sure we always have a good time...so I present the introduction of Mr. Ninpi - my traveling Gnomad. I'll try and post adventures with his photos here as often as I can. Our first trip together was from Iowa to the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Here we can see Mr. Ninpi at Wall Drug, the icon of South Dakota. |
| | Stuck in the Middle with You Here we find Mr. Ninpi at the Geo-Center of the US while traveling through Belle Fourche, South Dakota. |
Crazy for Gnomads! Mr. Ninpi and I made sure to make a short side trip to the Crazy Horse monument while near Custer, South Dakota.
| | Bad Lands are Beautiful Of couse we had to stop and take some photos in the beauty of Badlands National Park in Western South Dakota. |
Size Differences Gotta love a tiny Mr. Ninpi with the huge faces of the founders of democracy at Mount Rushmore National Monument near Keystone, South Dakota.
| | Snowy Spearfish Mr. Ninpi, the Lady Mango and I all got caught in a rather late spring snowstorm near Spearfish, South Dakota. |
Trees and Gnomads No trip to South Dakota is complete without a few photos of the Black HIlls in the Western part of the state.
| | Scenic Gnomad If you are ever in the Omaha area, just off I-680 you can find this great scenic overlook. This was taken in June 2006 at the overlook tower I wrote my name in during my first solo visit to Colorado when I was 17. I was suprised to see it still standing. Featured with Mr. Ninpi is my husband Jon. |

Nemorino Sat Oct 24, 2009 13:13 UTC I tried to leave a comment on your Charleston page, but it didn't appear for some reason. What I said was: Those Bulldog Tours sound really good, especially the "Dark Side of Charleston Historical Walking Tour." | starship Sun Aug 30, 2009 22:11 UTC Sage, thanks for the Birthday greetings!
